Scot Scoop is Carlmont High School's online publication site, home to a variety of publication pieces ranging from the written article to a broadcast feature. It is supported by a cycle of 107 student journalists who each lend their journalist experience to the platform.
ScotCenter is the high school's broadcast team featuring video and podcast publications. With access to all manner of production equipment - from tripods to teleprompters - this branch of Carlmont’s journalism program adheres to a type of storytelling that best addresses and responds to the community interest.
The Highlander newsmagazine provides the Carlmont community with a variety of feature stories, with subjects ranging from current event commentary to the latest scoop on campus. All student journalists of the class shoulder the printing and publishing costs through offering advertising services to local businesses.
Previously a separate magazine, Scotlight is now the featured story uniting The Highlander newsmagazine. It is multi-paged and in-depth, often addressing the time's climate the month it is published.
